About LA&HAThe Laser and Health Academy (LA&HA®) is a not-for-profit organization, originally established by Fotona d.o.o., dedicated to the promotion of research, education and publishing in the field of laser medicine. LA&HA has since become a coordinator of the EU regional Competency Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CC BME), connecting five industrial and seven academic research partners. LA&HA is also a member and coordinator of the EU technology platform Fotonika 21.

LA&HA InstituteThe LA&HA Institute is a state-of-the-art laser research and training facility located in the heart of the Laser and Health Academy’s European Headquarters. The Institute plays a key role in LA&HA’s mission to serve as a global platform for the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge among peers and promote evidence-based laser medicine and dentistry among practitioners and the general public.

Our state-of-the-art facilities offer live treatment demonstrations and hands-on training for both seasoned practitioners and those new to lasers—empowering them to expand their expertise, foster collaboration, and achieve clinical excellence.
WorkshopsWant to improve your laser expertise? LA&HA organizes comprehensive workshops in the fields of aesthetics & dermatology, surgery, gynecology and dentistry. Designed for both new and experienced laser users, these workshops focus on enhancing skills and knowledge of laser systems, techniques, and procedures through a mix of theory and hands-on practice. Led by expert clinicians in small, interactive group settings, they provide valuable insights into the endless possibilities of medical laser technology.
LA&HA Master's ProgramThe LA&HA Master’s Program in Laser Dentistry offers a comprehensive educational curriculum focused on both foundational and advanced laser principles. The program equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and competency required to effectively and confidently use Fotona dental laser systems across a variety of dental specialties. Applicants must hold a DDS diploma and have at least three years of professional experience in dentistry.
LA&HA SymposiumThe annual Laser & Health Academy Symposium, co-hosted by Fotona, focuses on practical instruction and presentations across diverse fields of laser medicine, delivered by highly experienced clinical experts. The Symposium provides attendees with updates and insights on the latest medical laser research, as well as opportunities for networking with the ever-expanding community of LA&HA medical professionals.
