A clinical pilot study was conducted in which 42 nails from 14 patients who exhibited onychomicosis caused by Trichophyton sp., Aspergilus niger, Candida sp. and other molds were treated with a novel 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser therapy in a series of 4 sessions at 3 month intervals.
