Er:YAG laser frenectomies often do not require any stitching, wound healing is faster and risk of complications is minimized through additional disinfection by the laser. The Fidelis systems have become a standard frenectomy tool for many pediatric dentists.

The Laser and Health Academy (LA&HA) is a not-for-profit organization, originally established by Fotona d.d., dedicated to the advancement and education of lasers in medicine.
