Bogdan Crisan, DMD, PhD

Dr. Bogdan Crişan is a Faculty Expert for the Laser and Health Academy in the domain of laser application in surgery and dentistry, with over 18 years of experience in the use of diode lasers on soft tissues and over 15 years of experience in the use of lasers on hard tissues. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2002 and obtained his master's degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Oral Health in 2007 at the same University.

Dr. Crişan has been a specialist in oral surgery since 2011. He attended specialization courses and trainings in clinics and research centers in Sweden (Karolinska Institutet), Switzerland (Universitat Basel) and South Korea (Hallym University). In 2011 he received his certificate of complementary studies in "Therapeutic and surgical use of laser in dentistry", and received a PhD in Medical Sciences in 2013, with his PhD thesis on the subject of the use of laser in treatment of vascular malformations and oral soft-tissue benign tumors. His scientific activity has resulted in the participation in numerous national and international scientific congresses, where he presented lectures and oral presentations related to the use of laser in oral surgery, periodontal therapy, peri-implant complications and facial or dental aesthetics. He has published as first author and co-author numerous scientific papers in national and international journals. He is an active member of the Romanian Society of Lasers in Dentistry (SRLS), which is affiliated with the WFLD-ED. He is currently a Lecturer at the Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj- Napoca, Romania and an associate laser practitioner at two private clinics in Cluj.
