
Beatrijs Deruyter, DDS
Beatrijs Deruyter graduated with honors with a Masters degree in Dentistry from Vrije University in Brussels, Belgium in 1980. She joined the Faculty staff of the department of Prosthetics and Restorative Dentistry at Brugman Teaching Hospital in Brussels from 1980-1984. Dr. Deruyter first began working with lasers in 1991 and has earned several medical-laser degrees, including Master of SOLA Academy: University of Vienna, Austria (2004), Standard proficiency ALD, parts 1-3 (2004-2006), Master of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (2009), and Master of Science in Laser Dentistry: Department of Surgical and Diagnostic Science-Universita degli Studi di Genova (2013-2014).
Since 2013, Dr. Deruyter has been an instructor in laser techniques at the UZ Leuven Periodontal department of KU Leuven in Belgium, where she’s also been a doctoral clinical researcher in the periodontal field since 2014. She has been a reviewer for Lasers in Medical Science since 2011 and is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) and the Laser Institute of America (LIA).
