Branislava Gajic, MD, PhD

Branislava Gajic graduated from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Medicine in the year 1994, in 1998. she passed her specialist exam and became a dermatovenerologist whereas in 2014 she obtained a subspecialist degree in oncology. As an Overseas trained Dermatology Fellow, she was holding a Commonwealth funded position for overseas trained dermatologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and Skin and Cancer Foundation Darlinghurst in Sydney, NSW, Australia (2007 - 2009), where she gained additional training in procedural dermatology and Dermatosurgery. In 2011. she was a visiting dermatologist at the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA, Department of Dermatology - Mohs microsurgery unit. She has been a consultant at the Dermatovenerology Clinic, Clinical center of Vojvodina (2005 -2007 and 2009 - 2011), and since 2013 she is a consultant at the Dermatosurgery unit, Division for Skin Cancers and dermatosurgery at Dermatovenerology Clinic, Clinical Centre of Vojvodina. She has been involved in teaching and training since 2014., first as a teaching assistant, and now, after obtaining a PhD degree in dermatovenerology with thesis “Correlation of the clinically and histopathologically determined lateral margin of the basal cell skin cancer”, as an associate professor at the Dermatovenerology Department, Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad. She is involved both in the undergraduate studies, as well as postgraduate and specialist studies, as mentor and examiner. Her clinical interests are dermatologic surgery (general), Mohs surgery, dermato-oncology, laser surgery and soft tissue augmentation. She is a member of Serbian medical Society; Serbian Association of dermatovenerologists; International Society of Dermatologic Surgery; European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology; European Association of Dermato Oncology
