The 16th LA&HA Symposium – Exploring New Frontiers in Laser and Energy-Based Medicine

The 16th Laser & Health Academy (LA&HA) Symposium welcomed more than 800 participants from around the world for another inspiring gathering dedicated to advancing knowledge, innovation, and collaboration in laser medicine.
Held alongside the 23rd International Fotona Weekend (IFW), this year's Symposium provided a dynamic platform for healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry experts to exchange ideas, share clinical experiences, and explore the latest developments in energy-based medicine.
This year's scientific program featured more than 80 expert lectures presenting cutting-edge research, innovative treatment approaches, and valuable real-world clinical experiences. Focusing on LA&HA's three core research areas—Aesthetics & Dermatology, Dentistry, and Gynecology—the Symposium offered a rich program of educational sessions, thought-provoking lectures, and engaging roundtable discussions.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding scientific contributions through the LA&HA Best Lecture Awards. Congratulations to this year's recipients: Dr. Fernando Duarte (Dentistry, Portugal), Dr. Lucas Chia (Aesthetics & Dermatology, Malaysia), and Dr. Jorge Gaviria (Gynecology, USA).
Beyond the scientific program, attendees enjoyed numerous opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional relationships during evening events, dinners, and social activities. The Symposium once again demonstrated the value of bringing together professionals who share a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and the advancement of patient care.
